Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Privacy at WebAppStatus

This Privacy Policy explains how WebAppStatus ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website monitoring and alerting service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide to us

  • Account information — your name and email address, provided when you register or sign in with Google.
  • Authentication data — a Google account identifier when you choose Google sign-in, used only to authenticate you.
  • Monitoring data (User Content) — the URLs, endpoints, alert contacts, and settings you configure, plus the check results, response times, and incidents we generate for you.
  • Billing information — subscription status and a payment reference. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage and technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, used for security and reliability.
  • Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in (see Cookies below).

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • To run your monitors and send you alerts when they go down or recover, plus reports.
  • To process subscriptions and manage your plan.
  • To notify you about changes to the Service and respond to support requests.
  • To monitor usage and detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • To improve the Service.

3. Your content and ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the User Content you submit to the Service. We do not claim ownership of it and we use it only to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, or as needed to provide it to you.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. It is required for the Service to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

5. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only in these situations:

  • With service providers — trusted third parties that help us run the Service, who may access your data only to perform tasks for us and must protect it:
    • Google — for optional Google sign-in. See the Google Privacy Policy.
    • Paddle — our payment provider and Merchant of Record, who processes payments and billing data. See the Paddle Privacy Policy.
    • Email delivery provider — used to send alerts, reports, and account emails.
  • For legal reasons — if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our users.

6. Data security

The security of your data is important to us. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and monitoring data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.

8. Your data protection rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Export and restriction — request a portable copy of your data or object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw your consent to data processing at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at onlinesite407@gmail.com.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
