WebAppStatus monitors your websites, APIs, and services and sends you alerts when they go down and when they come back up. These Terms govern your access to and use of the WebAppStatus website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms and eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.
- If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
- If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. User accounts
- You may need to create an account to use certain features of the Service.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your password and login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or password.
3. The Service
The Service periodically checks websites, APIs, servers, and heartbeat endpoints that you add, records their observed availability and response performance, and sends alerts (for example by email or other notification channels you enable) when a monitor goes down and when it recovers.
- Monitoring results and alerts are informational only. They may be delayed, missed, or inaccurate because of networks, third-party systems, email or messaging providers, maintenance, or other conditions outside our control.
- Check frequency, number of monitors, alert channels, and data retention depend on your selected plan.
- You should not rely on the Service as your only method of detecting outages or as a substitute for your own safeguards in critical systems.
4. Your content and monitoring data
Ownership: You retain all rights to the URLs, hostnames, settings, contact details, and other information you submit to the Service ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
License: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and use your User Content and the monitoring results generated from it solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete your User Content, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention periods.
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content. You confirm that you own, or are authorized to test and monitor, every system you add, and that your use does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You may monitor only systems that you own or are authorized to test. You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break any applicable local, national, or international law, or infringe another person's rights.
- Monitor, probe, attack, overload, scan, or gain unauthorized access to any system you do not own or have permission to test.
- Carry out denial-of-service attacks or send excessive or abusive traffic to any target.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
- Use alerts to send spam, unsolicited advertising, or messages to people who have not agreed to receive them.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or forge headers or identifiers to disguise the origin of requests.
- Stalk, harass, or harm another user, or harm minors in any way.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or connected networks.
- Resell, copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service except where applicable law permits it.
6. Plans, payments, and renewals

- Cancellation and refund eligibility are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary and will provide notice of material changes where practical.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and all content and materials available on it, including text, graphics, logos, dashboards, and software, belong to WebAppStatus or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with your plan. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary information without our written consent.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service or close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access when you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or fail to pay applicable fees. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability, will remain in effect.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that monitoring checks or alerts will be accurate, complete, or delivered on time, or that the Service will detect every outage. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebAppStatus, its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes losses caused by missed, delayed, or false alerts, undetected downtime, or unauthorized access to your data.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebAppStatus and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or fees resulting from your violation of these Terms, your User Content, your monitoring of systems you were not authorized to test, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Chandigarh, India.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on the Service with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
